I like the music and the design, but I wasn't really sure what I was doing XD I mean I couldn't tell what the upgrades were actually doing so it felt like nothing much was happening. On the bright side, I did make up a story for this game while I was waiting for money!
Story: A technologically advanced kingdom created an advanced money-making machine called the CoinGen, but one of the members of the royal court betrayed the secret of its location to the neighboring kingdom. Worried about the loss of the source of their wealth, the monarchs of the advanced kingdom sent out their bravest knight (the main character) to defend it against their rival's army.
Anyway, I guess that helps if you ever wanted to develop this further after the jam is over?
Umm... Creative idea, but not that good execution. Graphics were amaizing, I m impressed by your pixelart, music was also ok (but got little irritating after a while), but lets talk about gameplay. I m confused, and kinda sad that this project turned out not as great as I saw it first time... Assets are maybe made by your team... I don't know, but gameplay is the worst part of this: There is no tutorial, player have no idea what and how upgrades works, Movement is very confusing. I m just dissapointed, and game doesn't end/reset after death. Sorry, but that's propably the weakest of your projects
Thank you for playing and taking time to write this comment !
I developed the "end game" in the last hour of the game jam and I couldn't make the "restart" works 😅 a tutorial explaining how updates works is a great idea! I'll try to prioritize this in future games.
FYI most of the assets (including music ans sprites) were found online.
What do you think about my game then? I got feedback from only my 2 friends, so that would be nice to know from others
